Being misunderstood hurts because we were created for relationship.
Whether it's a family member who misjudges your intentions, a friend who assumes the worst, a coworker who questions your motives, or even fellow believers who don't understand your heart, those moments can leave lasting wounds.
Our natural response is often to defend ourselves, replay conversations, or desperately try to convince others that we've been misunderstood.
Yet Jesus understands this pain better than anyone.
He was misunderstood by religious leaders, doubted by His own family, abandoned by friends, and falsely accused despite living a perfect life.
When we remember that our Savior walked this road first, we discover that we're never alone in it.
The opinions of others may change.
God's knowledge of your heart never does.
