Note Culinaire February 6, 2026

Hi there and welcome to the first week of February 2026. Are you surviving the winter? Is it cold where you are? The 2 feet of snow we saw a couple of weeks ago haven’t budged here in the tristate, unfortunately. I am, however, thrilled to be done with January. I’m hoping that February brings milder temperatures here.

This weekend is the Super Bowl, as you may know. I don’t count myself among people who are significantly interested in football, but I am interested in the food at Super Bowl parties. This weekend I’m bringing you a couple of my favorites. First is my husband‘s chili— delicious and warming all through the fall and winter, but it’s become a Super Bowl weekend favorite around our house. The other is a fun take on Buffalo wings— which I love, but I don’t want to make them at home and I find them a bit too messy to eat. Whether I’m entertaining or just watching the Super Bowl with family, these buffalo chicken sliders, bring all the flavor of buffalo wings in a delicious little bite. I make them every year at the Super Bowl and I hope you enjoy if you make them too. They are a great little party food no matter what the occasion.

Enjoy the Super Bowl, stay warm and I’ll see you back here for some special Valentine's Day recipes next week.
