Monarch Launches the Monarch Crown Awards to Celebrate Excellence in Women’s Health

Monarch today announced the launch of the Monarch Crown Awards, a new national recognition program honoring exceptional OB/GYNs who exemplify excellence in women’s health. At a time when physicians face crisis-level burnout and patients confront persistent barriers to quality care, the Awards aim to affirm, elevate, and celebrate the doctors who are transforming the future of women’s health through compassion, innovation, and leadership.

Nearly half of physicians in the U.S. report experiencing symptoms of burnout, and OB/GYNs in particular are navigating workforce shortages that threaten access to care across the country. In this moment of strain, the Monarch Crown Awards seek to amplify the stories of those who provide care with empathy, integrity, and vision.

Nomination Categories and Prize Package

The Monarch Crown Awards will celebrate OB/GYNs in two categories:

• Excellence in Patient Care – Recognizing physicians who have made a profound difference in the lives of their patients, nominated directly by the women they’ve cared for. These honorees exemplify patient-centered care by listening, advocating, and showing up when it matters most.
• Excellence in Mentorship – Honoring OB/GYNs who invest in the growth and success of their peers and mentees, demonstrating leadership and generosity that elevate the entire field of women’s health.

Winners will be announced the week of November 3, 2025 and will receive public recognition through Monarch’s channels and press outreach as well as a $3,000 Four Seasons e-gift card designed to give honorees time away to rest and reflect.

Nomination Process and Criteria

Nominations can be submitted through the official Monarch Crown Awards form from September 9 through October 27, 2025. There is no cost to participate, and nominators may submit multiple entries for different nominees. Shortlisted finalists will be announced the week of October 27, 2025 and winners will be celebrated publicly in early November.

Nominations are open to patients, colleagues, and mentees, with self-nominations also accepted. To be eligible, nominees must be board-certified OB/GYNs actively practicing in the United States with at least 10 years of post-residency experience.
