The background of this song video, a very moving story might help you grasp the emotion of the song: Father having lost four daughters in a shipwreck wrote this moving song when he returned to the place where the tragic event happened. This public domain song was written by Horatio G. Spafford in 1873. The music was composed by Philip P. Bliss in 1876.

Opa was an Army man and he met Oma while stationed in Germany. They got married and traveled the world from station to station. They had 3 kids - all born in different places, and after 20 years, they settled in Monroe, WI. <br /><br />I met Oma and Opa when I met my husband Bob. Their love for each other has inspired me ever since. Oma passed away in 2012, yet Opa still loves her - their love lasts forever. I know they will dance again in Heaven someday.<br />
