The addition of Flores to EVERY’s executive leadership team comes as the company positions itself for key growth milestones amidst a time of heightened visibility to the transformative potential of EVERY’s nature-equivalent egg products. Tasked with deepening EVERY’s IP estate and laying the legal groundwork for global expansion as the company scales up production, Flores was most recently VP, Legal at Upside Foods and instrumental in developing the alternative protein company’s IP infrastructure and M&A of Cultured Decadence.
At Facebook (now Meta Platforms, Inc.), Flores held responsibility for creating, maintaining and managing the company's patent portfolio worldwide. Subsequently at Lyft, she built the company’s IP function from scratch, significantly grew its patent portfolio, and supported Lyft’s largest joint development agreement. Her selection to lead legal matters and strategy at EVERY comes as the U.S. weathers the worst avian flu in history, culling nearly 60 million laying hens in 2022 alone. Egg prices have reached record highs, and retailers and consumers are experiencing mass shortages.
