Federal Order Delays NIPSCO’s R.M. Schahfer Generating Station’s Retirement

MERRILLVILLE, Ind.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec 24, 2025--

Northern Indiana Public Service Company LLC (NIPSCO) has received a federal order requiring the continued operation of R.M. Schahfer Generating Station beyond its previously scheduled retirement date of Dec. 31, 2025. The order is in effect for 90 days.
