Grains higher, Livestock mixed

CHICAGO (AP) — Grain futures were higher Tuesday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade. Wheat for Dec. advanced 41.50 cents at $8.67 a bushel; Dec. corn gained 14.50 cents at $6.8825 a bushel; Dec. oats rose 7.75 cents at $4.0725 a bushel; while Sep. soybeans was up 5.25 cents at 14.6675 a bushel.

Beef was mixed and pork was lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

Oct. live cattle was up .35 cent at $1.4625 a pound; Sep. feeder cattle was off .35 cent at $1.7935 a pound; Oct. lean hogs was off 17 cent at $.9605 a pound.
