I hope you and your family had a truly glorious New Year’s Eve.

This year, the holidays landing on a Thursday threw more than a few curve balls our way—but in the best possible sense. Instead of rushing out into the noise, we stayed in. We made food, welcomed people into our home, lingered at the table, and let the evening unfold at a human pace. There was laughter, stories, and the kind of conversation that only happens when no one is watching the clock too closely.

At midnight, we did what generations before us have done—we sang Auld Lang Syne. Off-key, unapologetically, and with gratitude. And for the first time ever, the kids stayed up until real midnight. Not the pretend one, not the early celebration—but the genuine article. Watching them mark that moment felt like a quiet milestone, the kind that sneaks up on you and then stays with you.

Now it’s back to work—and back to rhythm.

More radio this week, and a return to the familiar cadence of the normal TKS bumpers. There’s something grounding about routine after the holidays. It doesn’t erase the joy of the season; it gives it a place to land.

This weekend’s shows are shaping up to be especially timely. Hannah Anderson will break down the controversy unfolding in Minnesota with her trademark clarity and thoughtfulness. And Alex Marlow will tackle the Erica/Candace story—but that conversation will be available exclusively on the television edition of TKS. If you haven’t been watching the TV broadcast lately, this is a very good weekend to tune in.

A quick reminder as well: don’t forget to register for your chance to win a trip to Italy. It’s one of those opportunities that feels almost too good not to try for—and yes, it could absolutely be you.

And finally, for the music lovers among us: the first TEA Collective single dropped Friday morning at midnight. It’s the beginning of a new chapter, and we’re excited for you to hear where this next project is heading.

Thanks for starting the year with us. More soon—and as always, grateful to be taking the journey together.
