Lieutenant General (Ret.) Basham brings over three decades of distinguished military leadership and strategic insight to the Academy team. Most recently, he served as Deputy Commander of United States European Command (EUCOM), where he played a critical role in overseeing U.S. military operations, building allied partnerships, and enhancing transatlantic security. His prior leadership assignments include Deputy Commander of U.S. Air Forces in Europe and Air Forces Africa, as well as key strategic planning and operations roles at the Pentagon.

Lieutenant General Basham commented on joining the firm: “I am thrilled and honored to join such a professional, dedicated group. It is exciting to become part of a team that identifies opportunities within a dynamic geopolitical environment.”

General Basham is a decorated pilot with more than 3,400 flying hours, primarily in the B-1, B-2, and B-52 bombers.
