PLANO, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan 15, 2026--

Former MLB player Hunter Dozier and his wife Amanda have partnered with CorVive® to launch CorVive Kids Hydrate™, a clean hydration formula designed specifically for youth athletes and active children. CorVive, a Texas-based, family-owned sports nutrition company, created the formula to address growing concerns about artificial ingredients in traditional youth sports drinks and the lack of options for children's unique nutritional needs.

A Critical Need, Especially in Texas

Youth hydration is a critical health concern, particularly in states like Texas where temperatures often exceed 100 degrees during summer sports seasons. According to Cook Children's Medical Center, exertional heat illness peaks during August through October in Texas, with athletes in sports for more than two hours facing the highest risk. [7] Many young athletes start practice already dehydrated and stay that way throughout training. Even with intervention programs, studies show up to 60% remain inadequately hydrated. [7]

Recent analyses show 79% of sports drinks contain synthetic dyes. [1] Meanwhile, U.S. children consume just 23 ounces of plain water per day compared with 44 ounces for adults, [2] and many children worldwide fall short of recommended daily fluid intake. [3,4] Children's gut microbiota differs from adults' in composition and diversity, with patterns specific to their age requiring balanced nutrition rather than adult formulas. [5,6]

Industry-Leading Innovation: Beyond Basic Hydration

CorVive Kids Hydrate stands apart as one of the few youth hydration products to include both probiotics and postbiotics, addressing not just immediate hydration needs but long-term gut health and immune support for growing children.

"Parents deserve transparency and scientifically sound solutions tailored to children, not watered-down adult products with unnecessary additives," said Jeremy Fouts, CorVive founder and NCSF Certified Sports Nutrition Specialist. "Our launch responds to the science: kids need clean hydration that supports their developing bodies, gut health, and immune systems."

About CorVive Kids Hydrate

CorVive Kids Hydrate delivers comprehensive support for young athletes:

  • Balanced Electrolyte Profile: Calibrated specifically for youth activity levels to support proper hydration before, during, and after exercise.
  • Probiotics and Postbiotics: One of the few children's hydration products supporting gut health and immune function through live beneficial bacteria and bioactive compounds. Clinical research shows that postbiotics reduce gastrointestinal disorders, enhance immune responses, and decrease allergies and respiratory infections in children. [8,9] Probiotics support a healthy microbiome, while postbiotics offer benefits with greater stability and safety.
  • Clean Label Approach: No synthetic dyes, formulated with transparent ingredients that align with pediatric guidance around limiting added sugars.

The Dozier Family Partnership: Education First

Hunter Dozier, who played seven seasons in MLB with the Kansas City Royals, and Amanda are parents who have seen firsthand the confusion families face around youth sports nutrition.

"As parents, we see how much junk food and poor nutrition kids are exposed to every day," said Hunter Dozier. "We wanted to be part of something that educates families and gives kids a cleaner option that supports their health, not just their performance."

The Dozier partnership includes a multi-platform education initiative with practical content on hydration habits and daily fluid goals tailored by age, gut health fundamentals and kid-appropriate nutrition, and smart sideline choices to replace artificial colorants and high-sugar beverages.

To expand reach, CorVive is collaborating with Baseball Blue Book and athlete development expert Walter Beede to deliver programming on hydration, gut health, and long-term athlete development.

"We're committed to educating the youth sports community so families can make informed decisions," added Fouts. "Hydration, gut health, and clean nutrition matter, especially during the most critical years of growth, and especially in states like Texas where heat makes proper hydration a life-or-death issue."
